How Buyers Use It

One Spice, Many Purposes

How chefs, bartenders, and buyers put our cinnamon to work every day.

Can cinnamon sticks be used for BBQ and grilling?

Yes. Chefs thread meat and vegetables onto cinnamon sticks to use them as aromatic skewers, and lay sticks on the charcoal to add fragrant smoke. It is a favourite technique in Middle Eastern and North African grilling.

How is cinnamon used in cocktails and beverages?

Cinnamon sticks are steeped into syrups for cocktails, mulled wine, and cider, and used whole as an aromatic garnish and stirrer. Bars and hotels favor Ceylon cinnamon because its delicate, citrusy profile flavors a drink without overpowering it.

Why do bakers prefer Ceylon cinnamon powder?

Ceylon cinnamon powder has a softer, sweeter flavor than cassia, so it complements pastries, cinnamon rolls, and desserts instead of dominating them. Its fine, consistent grind also blends evenly in commercial baking and food production.

How are cinnamon sticks used in tea and infusions?

A single Ceylon cinnamon stick steeped in hot water makes naturally sweet, caffeine-free cinnamon tea, and the same quills flavor chai blends, coffee, and golden milk. True cinnamon releases its flavor gently, so sticks can be re-steeped several times.

What are cinnamon toothpicks?

Cinnamon toothpicks are natural toothpicks carved from real cinnamon wood — a Sri Lankan specialty that leaves a gentle cinnamon taste and freshens breath. Cafés, hotels, and retailers serve them as a memorable after-dinner touch.

Do you supply hotels, restaurants, and food manufacturers?

Yes — we export Ceylon cinnamon in bulk to hotels, restaurants, cafés, and food manufacturers worldwide, with quantities and formats matched to each buyer. Contact us on WhatsApp or email to discuss volumes, packaging, and shipping to your market.

FAQ

Buying Ceylon Cinnamon, Answered

The questions importers, chefs, and retailers ask us most.

What is Ceylon cinnamon and how is it different from cassia?

Ceylon cinnamon — "true cinnamon" (Cinnamomum verum) — is grown in Sri Lanka and has a delicate, sweet, citrusy flavor, while cassia is a stronger, harsher variety sold as common cinnamon in many markets. Ceylon quills are thin, soft, and rolled in many layers, and Ceylon is naturally much lower in coumarin than cassia.

Where can I buy Ceylon cinnamon in bulk?

You can order Ceylon cinnamon sticks, powder, BBQ skewers, and toothpicks in bulk directly from Ceylora Spices in Sri Lanka — message us on WhatsApp at +94 77 734 7614 or email hello@ceyloraspices.com. We work with importers, food manufacturers, hotels, and restaurants worldwide.

What makes Ceylora Spices cinnamon high quality?

Every batch is grown in Sri Lanka, hand-processed into true cinnamon, and inspected for purity, aroma, and color before export. We sell directly from origin, so buyers get authentic Ceylon cinnamon without the quality loss of long re-packing supply chains.

Which countries do you export to?

We export from Sri Lanka to buyers in the EU, US, Asia, and other markets, arranging quantities and packaging to suit each destination. Tell us your country and volume on WhatsApp or email and we will confirm the details for your order.
